Suzuki-san dreamt of a DS since his
high-school days. Now he's got one, and a
rare pre-1967 at that. The car is a 1965
DS19 Pallas, in superb condition, a relatively
recent import from France, which Suzuki-san
acquired four years ago.
The pictures were taken during a French car
meeting in Kurumayama, central Japan, on
October 2006 (see ). This car was the
only pre-1967 model out of a total of fourteen
DS.

The high-grade Pallas version was introduced in
september 1964 and featured several design and
comfort-related enhancements. Two examples are
illustrated here: the larger front winker stainless
covers (left), and the beautiful wheel covers (above),
