An early DS was one of the highlights of an
exhibition held in Bangkok during the
summer of 2010, and called "Icons of French
Design".
Other exhibits included a "Bic" ballpoint pen,
a "Seb" pressure-cooker and a (miniature of
the) Concorde supersonic plane, together
with several furniture and other interior
decoration items. The event, co-organized by
the French embassy, took place in the
BACC (Bangkok Art & Cultural Center).
The car, more precisely a
1962 ID19, comes from the
vast collection of the
"Jesada Technik Museum",
on the outskirts of Bangkok,
which hosts a couple of DS
amongst about 500 other
cars. See more on their
website, here (Thai, and
partially English):
A few blogs mention this expo; the photo above right for example comes from this one
