Fabrice Mattei, a Frenchman living in Bangkok, is a true Citroen fanatic, and he has an
impressive collection, which currently includes a Traction Avant, a pair of 2CVs, and a DS.
And no ordinary DS: she is a beauty contest prize-winner.
Fabrice, who has been living in Malaysia and Thailand for over 10 years, says he inherited the
Citroen virus from his grand-father. He first bought a Traction in 1999, which won several
prizes in classic car contests, then a DS in 2002, followed by two 2CVs. For the moment he
does not have plans to add to his collection of classic Citroens, but who knows...
The 1971 DS21 Pallas belonged to a Thai diplomat who used it only occasionally; the car has
only 68,000 kms, and Fabrice regularly uses it. In 2004 it won the 2nd prize in a contest
organized by the Vintage Car Club of Thailand.
Speaking of clubs, Fabrice's cars are shown on the webpage of the Citroen Club of Thailand,
under the brand's history.
