Fabrice, in Bangkok, likes Citroen cars, so he collects them: so far, a Traction Avant, a
couple of 2CV, and a DS. And no ordinary DS: a beauty contest prize-winner.
Fabrice Mattei, a Frenchman living in Malaysia and Thailand for over 10 years, says he
inherited the Citroen virus from his grand-father. He first bought a Traction in 1999, which won
several prizes in classic car contests, then a DS in 2002, followed by two 2CV. For the
moment he does not have plans to buy another model, but who knows...
The 1971 DS21 Pallas belonged to a Thai diplomat who did not use it so much; the car has
only 68,000 kms, and Fabrice regularly uses it. In 2004 it won the 2nd prize in a contest
organized by the Vintage Car Club of Thailand.
